Narration Architects
Narration Architects is an Athens-based architecture and design studio founded and led by Aria Volitaki, working across residential, hospitality, and interior projects throughout Greece, with a particular focus on the Cyclades.
The studio operates as a collaborative platform where ideas are developed through dialogue, research, and a close understanding of each project’s particular conditions. Embracing a human-centric approach, Narration Architects works across projects of varying scales, unfolding a distinct story behind every space.
Each project is treated as an open dialogue between space, its spatial and cultural context, and the specific aspirations of the client, allowing its architectural identity to emerge naturally. This approach is especially relevant to the studio’s work in the Cyclades, where landscape, light, materiality, and the particular character of each site play a central role in the design process.
From initial concept to final execution, architecture, interiors, material selection, and custom-designed elements are developed as part of a unified and cohesive design language.
The studio’s work is defined by a deeply personal approach, aiming to create spaces with a strong architectural presence, lasting value, and authentic character.
Aria Volitaki – Founder
Aria Volitaki is an architect and the founder of Narration Architects.
She graduated from the School of Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and later completed the postgraduate programme Research in Architecture: Design – Space – Culture, further developing her interest in architectural research and in the relationship between design, space, and cultural context.
A defining chapter in her architectural formation was her time at VOIS Architects. Working there for several years within a creative and collaborative environment deeply influenced the way she understands and approaches architecture, offering her the opportunity to engage closely with projects across different scales and stages. More importantly, it shaped an appreciation for architecture as an evolving process — one built through dialogue, experimentation, precision, and collective thinking.
These experiences gradually informed her own architectural language and ultimately the foundation of Narration Architects, a practice through which she continues to approach each project with curiosity, sensitivity, and a deeply personal perspective.
