Eclectic Heritage in Pangrati
Located behind the Panathenaic Stadium in Pangrati, this two-story building stands as a refined example of transitional Athenian architecture with eclecticism elements. Defined by its distinctive curved corner, an elegant balcony, and ornate decorative moldings, the residence carries a strong historic presence within the urban fabric.
The architectural project focuses on the interior renovation of the residence, honoring its historic character while adapting the layout to modern living standards. The proposed layout reorganizes the interior footprint into a seamless flow of spaces, preserving the grandeur of high ceilings and generous window openings.
Through a subtle material palette and quiet design interventions, the proposal creates a warm dialogue between the building’s original architectural heritage and contemporary domestic needs. By restoring historical features and integrating subtle modern joinery, the interior transformation bridges the home’s rich past with a serene, modern way of living.
